2012!!!!!

Welcome to a new year in Sunday School!!!

This term classes are starting off a little different. Classes are as follows:

Preschool Class: From 3 year old children - children in Kindergarten

Girls Class: Girls in Years 1 - 6

Boys Class: Boys in Years 1 - 6

High School Class: Years 7 & 8. This class will stay in church for the morning service during Term 1. We will encourage children to take notes during the morning service, which will be passed on to Brother Ben at the end of the service. Brother Ben will read through the notes and continue to encourage the children to hide God's Word in their hearts.

We will aim to update this blog each week on Monday. Here you will find the memory verses for your child's class and a brief outline of what was taught the day before. We will not have individual blogs for each class. Right here is where you will find all the information you need to know :)

We look forward to a wonderful year with your children.

Preschool Class
Today's lesson was: 'Jesus and the Children'. The emphasis was on how special we are to Jesus even as little children. He wants the children to know that they can come to Him always, when they are afraid, tired and even when they are just happy. Jesus is never too busy or too important to hear them. Our activity: We made a picture of ourselves to show we are all different but Jesus loves us all the same, these have been placed on the wall in the Pre-School room for all to come and see. Our Memory Verse: Lk 19:10 Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost
Girls Class

It is important that your daughter understand some of the ways that God shows His love (providing for us, protecting us, guiding us). Share examples of how God has loved and cared for you through the years. She also needs to understand that God want what is good for us, even when we cannot see His purposes. Share a circumstance where you doubted God’s love, only to realise later what He was oding in your life.

For additional study: John 3:16, 1 John 4:7-11, 16, 19

Memory Verse: 'I have loved thee with an everlasting love.' Jeremiah 31:3
